Biyyam Ravva undrallu


Biyyam ravva – 1 cup

Chana dal – 2 tb spoons

jeera – 1 spoon

Ghee – 2 tb spoons

Take one cup of rice and grind it in mixer to coarse for making ravva. Note that one cup of rice might make more than one cup of rice ravva

Soak chana dal in water for 30mins

Take a pan and add ghee once it is hot . Add jeera to it.

Add 2 cups of water (for one cup of ravva) , salt, soaked chana dal and bring the water to boil. Once water is rolling hot , add one cup of ravva slowly into the pan (on low flame) and keep stirring continuously . Cook it like upma for another 5 mins till water is dried.

Now let the mixture cool in a plate. Make the balls of desired size and steam them for 10mins in idli cooker.

 

 

Matri / Maida Biscuits


Maida – 1 cup

ghee – 2 spoons

ajwain – 1/2 tb spoon

salt – 1/2 tb spoon

Sooji ravva – 1 spoon

Mix all the ingredients in a plate first . Then make a  soft dough (like poori dough) by adding water. knead well.  Keep it aside for ten minutes.

Now make the dough into two balls. Roll it as a roti and cut into small peices using knife.

Deep fry the same.
