Prawns Curry


Cleaned Prawns — 1/2 kg
Onions – 3 big sized ( finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 3 medium sized ( finely chopped)
Green chillies — 3-4
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Cumin – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1sp
Chilli powder – 1 sp
cashew powder – 2 sp

First wash the cleaned prawns with water by adding salt and turmeric.
Now boil the washed prawns in a vessel with little salt, half spoon of chilli powder by closing the lid and without adding any water (prawns itself will give water)
Switch off the stove once water is completely evaporated.
Now heat oil in pan and add cumin .
Add chopped onions, ginger garlic paste.
Fry for 2-3 mins.
Now add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2min.
Now add cooked prawns, salt and chilli powder. cook for 5min on lower flame.
Add cashew powder, garam masala and fry for 2-3 mins.
Garnish with corriander leaves.

Please note that you can add little water into the curry while adding cooked prawns if you want to have more gravy. Or else this will be semi gravy dish.

Fish fry


Ingredients :

Fish pieces (cut into medium size) – 1kg
Corn Flour – 3 spoons
Egg white -1
Lemon – 2

Curd – 1/2 cup

Ginger Garlic paste – 1 1/2 spoon

Dhaniya powder – 1 spoon
Jeera powder – 1 spoon
Oil – 3 spoons
Salt – to taste
Chilli powder – 2 spoons

Wash the fish pieces with salt and turmeric .
Now add corn flour, lemon juice, egg white, ginger garlic paste, dhaniya powder, jeera powder, salt , chilli powder , oil ,curd to fish pieces. Mix well and marinate it for one hour.
Now fry these pices well on pan adding required oil.

Now serve the fried fish pieces with onion slices and lemon pieces.

Simple Chicken Fry


Happy New Year to evryone !! Hope i will try many new and different dishes in this new year.

Ingredients :

Chicken — 1/2kg
onion – 1 (medium)
Ginger Garlic Paste = 1 spoon
Chilli powder – 2 spoons
Ghee = 2 tbsp
Corn Flour – 1 spoon
Salt – to taste
Chicken masala powder – 1 spoon
Coriander = to garnish
jeera,mustard – for seasoning

Procedure :

1. Wash the chicken with water properly.
2. Add crushed onions, ginger-garlic paste, corn flour, salt, chilli powder, ghee to the chicken.
3. Mix well and keep it aside for 30min
4. Now add 1 glass of water to marinated chicken and cook it on low flame till chicken gets cooked and water is almost drained.
5. Now take a sauce pan . Add oil to it. Add mustard, jeera , curry leave for seasoning.
6. Now add cooked chicken along with left over water to this.
7. Now add chicken masala and fry it for 5min on low flame.
8.Garnish with coriander leaves.

P.S : This is “simple chicken fry” as it needs minimal ingredients and easy to cook.
